Since each substance has a unique mode of action, their combined presence in natural environments creates complex interactions that can compromise the functional and structural integrity of ecological communities. At GLS, we specialize in determining the ecotoxic effects by investigating how substances affect organismsin aquatic ecosystems

Our work focuses on identifying safe exposure thresholds to prevent ecological disruption by determining effect concentrations (ECx), noobserved effect concentrations (NOECs) and low observed effect-concentrations (LOECs) respectively. We offer context specific and substance targeted environmental risk assessments, operating at both laboratory and ecosystem scales.
